Cold porcelain is an inexpensive, non-toxic, easy-to-work-with material. Despite its name it is not porcelain. It does not require heating since it gets hard by exposure to fresh air.
It is a cornstarch based paste, which when dry is slightly flexible and has the appearance of real porcelain. It is super fun to work with and incredibly easy to make! follow these simple steps and

Step 1 Place all your ingredients on a microwave safe bowl.
Step 2 Mix all your ingredients until you have a smooth creamy paste and microwave for 30 seconds.
Step 3 Take the mix out of the microwave stir it, and place it back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.
Step 4 Stir again and microwave it for 30 more seconds. (this is the last time in the microwave)

Step 5 Carefully take out the mix and place it on a cornstarch covered surface.
Step 6 Start kneading your dough carefully. (It can be really hot) until you get the dough to a consistent texture.
Step 7 Place your dough in a tightly closed zip lock bag and let it sit on cool temperature overnight.
Step 8 Optional Step: Divide your dough into equal quantities and color them using food coloring or acrylic paints. (I used about two drops of food coloring per color)

Optional: Paint the lids of baby food jars to store your cold porcelain for a super cute gift :)
Tip: Apply hand lotion to you hands before you start working with your cold porcelain. It helps the flexibility of the clay.
